Crown wheels and pinions are lapped together at the factory and must be replaced as a matched pair — they are never sold separately, and mixing halves from two sets will destroy both within days.
Send us the ratio stamped on the axle plate, not the model year. On a twin-drive bogie both axles must carry the same ratio or the inter-axle differential will wind up and fail. Genuine only on this line; the aftermarket alternatives are not worth the risk. Budget for a bearing and seal kit at the same time.
